Spaying or neutering your dog helps reduce shelter overcrowding, prevent accidental litters, and save lives. It also provides important health and behavioral benefits, including reducing the risk of reproductive cancers, preventing life-threatening uterine infections, like pyometra, and curbing hormone-driven behaviors like marking, aggression, and roaming.
The Pittie Project provides funding for low cost spay and neuter services to pit bulls and pit bull mixes. We also provide FREE rabies and distemper vaccines as well as a microchip, if needed, at the time of the spay or neuter.
